Chevivit E-Selen is an oral gel for horses with a deficiency of Selenium, Vitamin E and Omega-3 fatty acids.Chevivit E-Selen provides an improved organic availability of active substances, allowing the ingredients to be readily absorbed and easily used by the animal.A horse can ingest most of the vitamins and minerals it needs from roughage and/or produce its own. However, vitamin E is often lacking from an equine diet. It is present in grass but not in hay, especially when the hay is not fresh. So horses which do not have access to pasture and feed on hay will often be deficient in this crucial vitamin. Selenium is known to exist in many European grasslands but less and less is now being found in the soil. The result is that there may not be enough of it in grass or hay.
